With the 95,000 square foot Johnathan Toews Sportsplex and the new 60,000 square foot Fieldhouse, there is no shortage of volunteer opportunities at Dakota Community Centre.

Current Opportunities

*Mini Soccer Coaches

The role of a coach for the mini soccer program is to provide a positive, caring, and encouraging environment for all involved. Duties of a mini soccer coach would include:

  • Communicating with parents about team news/happenings (schedules, expectations, cancelations, etc).
  • Make sure all of the children are included equally in activities, insatruction, and contest. FAIR PLAY!
  • Preparing a practice with fun activities that promote skill development once per week. (Stage 1)
  • Preparing two practices in which a game would follow twice a week. (Stage 2)
  • Enjoy yourself! This is meant to be fun for the children as well everyone involved.


*Canteen Helpers

We are looking for people to work the counter, take orders, and work the cash register.

Hours are available between 8am and 8pm on the following days:

April 19 – April 22

April 26 – April 29

May 11 – May 13

June 13 – June 17


*Fieldhouse Ambassador

​If you are an enthusiastic individual who enjoys connecting with your community, we welcome you to join our team as a volunteer Fieldhouse Ambassador!

As a Fieldhouse Ambassador you will welcome guests and showcase the Fieldhouse by providing tours and directions. You will also support the Dakota Community Centre staff at the front desk. Shifts are available Monday - Friday mornings or afternoon. Hours can be flexible including some evenings and weekends.
