Dakota Gymnastics Academy

Dakota Gymnastics Academy (DGA) is a new club offering gymnastics, parkour, and specialized cross-training programs for auxiliary sports such as hockey, ringette, soccer, and figure skating. Gymnastics is considered a foundational sport by the International Olympic committee in which athletes will develop: strength, flexibility, and discipline; confidence and positive mental health; work ethics and discipline; and exceptional fitness. Even though DGA is a new club, the head coach (Mr. Adik Isakov) is a Level 3 NCCP gymnastics coach with over 30 years of direct coaching experience.

Karate

The Dakota Karate Club is an independent program that is operated out of the Dakota Community Centre. They offer two Karate Programs:

  • Regular Karate Club Program
  • Little Tigers Program (once / week)

Lacrosse

The 'Sidewinders' are the official club for all teams playing Box Lacrosse in the south zone of the Red River Lacrosse Association.

Rugby

Dakota Community Centre is proud to partner with Rugby Manitoba on their exciting 'Rookie Rugby' program. Rookie Rugby is the fun, non-contact game of rugby for boys and girls of all ages across Canada! Kids will have a blast learning new skills, being active, and playing with their friends.

Winnipeg Rec League

The WRL is Winnipeg's Largest Coed rec league offering both traditional and non-traditional sports. Our goal is to provide young adults (+18) with access to a variety of sports, with the focus being more social than competitive. Joining the WRL is a great way to remain active while having fun with friends and meeting new people at the same time.
