FITNESS & YOGA

Motivation is a tricky thing. There are days when you feel like you can run a marathon and others when you just want to curl up on and take a nap. Our fitness classes will help keep you active, provide a social connection and add consistency to your fitness regime.

Learn proper techniques and receive the guidance you need to reach your health and fitness goals.

  1. Purchase class passes online or at customer service. To purchase online, click here and select Fitness & Yoga in the left hand menu for all pass options.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Yoga Class Options:

  • Yoga Flow – Yoga poses are linked fluidly but held long enough for the student to adjust to a healthy alignment and mental awareness. (Please bring a mat)

  • Restorative Yin – This class focuses on restoring deeply held tensions in the body and mind. Poses are held for a longer amount of time targeting the deepest and connective tissues of your body.

  • Gentle Flow Yoga  – A slower paced gentle flow class will concentrate more on a few poses with transitioning taking place to a similar pose (either upright or on the floor) instead of from a floor pose to standing pose and back to a floor pose (which is more of an active class). A gentle flow class offers a slower pace with what I believe to be the same benefit as a regular class but it serves a larger target group of people.

  • Restorative Yoga – This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels. Please bring your own mat, you may use our cushioned mats underneath your yoga mat for support. (Please bring a yoga mat) To guarantee the ultimate restorative yoga experience, comfort and benefit, please bring one or two small pillows and a blanket.

  • Yin Yang Yoga – A slower paced gentle flow class will concentrate more on a few poses with transitioning taking place to a similar pose (either upright or on the floor) instead of from a floor pose to standing pose and back to a floor pose (which is more of an active class). A gentle flow class offers a slower pace with what I believe to be the same benefit as a regular class but it serves a larger target group of people.

Cardio & Strength Class Options:

  • Total Body Strength – 60 minute class with brief cardio segment to warm up and then focuses on strength and muscle endurance for the entire body including core.

  • Tabata– A high-intensity interval training that consists of eight sets of fast-paced exercises each performed for 20 seconds interspersed with a brief rest of 10 seconds .

  • Hi-Lo Strength – This is an easy to follow and low-impact class designed to strengthen the cardiovascular system, tone muscles, and boost balance, flexibility and endurance. We use dumbbells, resistance bands, elevated benches and other equipment. Exercises can be modified to accommodate all fitness levels.

Zumba Class Options:

  • Zumba – Cardio workout that incorporates music and dance movements in a highly energized and positive class. This class will improve not only your cardio endurance but your mood as well!

  • Zumba Toning – Cardio workout that combines with muscle conditioning to improve flexibility, coordination, graceful hip movement and increase cardio endurance while toning your body.
