COVID UPDATE

We are very hopeful we will be able to return for our second season of Dakota Beach Volleyball at Dakota Community Centre this year. We will be implementing a few new rules to help keep our game safe.

• There will be no handshakes before or after games.
• We will have hand sanitizer at the gate before entering the courts.
• The ball will be cleaned after each game.
• We will not use the scoreboards, the score will be shouted out before each serve.
• We will not use paper game sheets, game results will be emailed in.
• We ask that players keep their distance as best as possible.

Dakota Community Centre continues to monitor the COVID-19 developments daily. Dakota Community Centre will follow recommendations made by public health authorities and government agencies about when it is safe to return to activities. At that time we will reach out to registrants to advise them as to how the season will progress.

Team Registration Fees have been removed until we have a more clear idea what the season will look like. If you are contemplating registering a team you can now do so free of charge.

Dakota Beach Volleyball League will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays with intermediate and recreational divisions. All teams are coed 4’s but you can have up to 8 players on each team!

Teams will play 2 (best-of-3 set matches) per night. Games are scheduled at 6:30pm and 7:15pm each night.

The league is scheduled to run June 23rd to August 27th, 2020 with 10 weeks of play.

We have partnered with Original Joes once again, all teams will receive Beer League cards that get you great deals on wings, beer and food.

The winner of each division will not only get the chance to lift the “Da’kota Cup!” and have their Team names etched in history but also receive prizes from Original Joes to celebrate after the big championship win.
