Empowering Seniors Speaker Series

A Speaker Series of Informative and Practical Talks

Information is power and can have a significant impact on your health and wellbeing. In these FREE information sessions, professionals will share their insights on a variety of topics with a presentation followed by a Q&A session.

Each session will feature a presentation by an informed speaker, followed by at Q&A session where you can ask questions and get answers.

Minds in Motion includes a gentle chair fitness class followed by engaging activities and conversation. It is designed to connect people living with early to moderate signs of dementia and their care partners through fitness, fun and friendship (You do not need a formal diagnosis to participate).

Manitoba 55+ Games

Join the largest multi-sport event in Manitoba for those 55+. This multi-sport event combines social activity, entertainment, and exercise. The Games are a fun and enriching experience for spectators, volunteers, and participants. Over three days, we host dozens of events, from pickleball to arts and crafts.

Steppin’ Up With Confidence

Steppin’ Up with Confidence is an active living peer led exercise program. Steppin’ Up with Confidence is designed to work on functional fitness that will support activities of daily living. With an emphasis on strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance the goal of this program is to support falls prevention, and continued independence. This inclusive program can be done seated or standing and supports individuals at various levels of fitness and mobility.
