EligibilityMust be a member of Dakota Community Centre Inc. (must live in the catchment area). Click here to determine if you live in the catchmentMust have graduated from high school within three years of application deadlineMust be enrolling full-time in first year of a post-secondary institutionMust have demonstrated a commitment to Dakota Community Centre Inc. within the last 2 yearsMust have maintained a 70% average in final year of high schoolMust meet admission standards of the educational institution specifiedDocumentationA written submission documenting the significance of participation in Dakota Community Centre Inc. as a sport or recreation participant and volunteer in the applicant’s personal development (This can be in the form of a letter to the Scholarship Selection Committee)Letters of Reference (x2) bearing a signature & current date from two non-related individuals A transcript of marks for the last completed year of education or current year to dateA detailed sports and/or recreation resume covering all aspects of the applicant’s sport activity as a player, coach, official, and volunteer but could also include instructing in a more recreational field such as instructing children how to cook for exampleA copy of your acceptance letter or email from a post-secondary institution as noted above in the Eligibility section(3)Selection ProcessApplicants will be reviewed by the Dakota Community Centre Inc. Scholarship Committee, as appointed by the Board of DirectorsThe Scholarship Committee will make recommendations to the Board of DirectorsDecisions by the Board of Directors will be finalAdministration of AwardsApplicant must provide evidence of acceptance for full-time enrollment at a post-secondary institution for the current academic yearApplicant, upon notification of award, must provide final year transcript prior to award disbursementApplicant must provide a copy of receipt for payment for full-time enrollment at a post-secondary institution for the current academic year prior to award disbursement
