Excellent Class Ratios
Class sizes are limited to 20 children to ensure valuable one-on-one time with each student.
Fully Licensed
Dakota Nursery School is partially funded and fully licensed by the province of Manitoba.
Morning & Afternoon Classes
Morning classes are available 2 or 3 days a week; Afternoon classes are available 2 days a week.
Expertly Trained Staff
Two teachers plus one support staff - all trained as Early Childhood Educators - mean your child is in good hands. All staff maintain current CPR and First Aid training.

Three Class Choices to Suit Your Schedule

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 9:00AM - 11:30AM
Monday/Wednesday: 12:30PM - 3:00PM
Tuesday/Thursday: 9:00AM - 11:30AM

Dakota Nursery School operates from September to early June, closing for 2 weeks in December for the Christmas Break, 1 week in March for Spring Break, and all statutory holidays. 

When starting in September, children must be aged 3 or 4 by December 31 and be fully toilet trained. Our class size is a maximum of 20 children.

We're Passionate About Safety

Dakota Nursery School has two teachers, and one additional inclusion support staff (if required), all of whom are trained ECE’s. All staff have current CPR and First Aid training and we participate in various professional development opportunities (including yearly URIS training for child specific health care plans). 

We are partially funded and fully licensed by the Province of Manitoba.

Daily Schedule

15 Minutes:

Greeting, arrival, hang up backpack, wash hands, circle time

75 Minutes:

Free play, art activity offered

15 Minutes:

Circle time (stories, games, songs, movement)

15 Minutes:

Gym time *if available

15 Minutes:

Wash hands, snack time (*please note we are a nut-free environment)

15 Minutes:

Circle time (stories, games, songs, movement), dismissal and good bye

Balanced Opportunities
Combination of teacher-led and child-chosen activities throughout the day.
Fresh & Exciting Fun
Toys are rotated every 1-3 weeks dependant on the children’s interests and play levels with many types of play materials offered.
Flexible Timetable
Adjustments are made throughout the day depending on individual and class needs.
Learning New Topics
Our programming is theme based, incorporating the needs and interests of the children.
