Public Skating Effective: Nov 5th, 2024

Dakota is no longer allowing non-registered participants to skate during public skating hours. All participants must be registered online. This procedure is important for the participant’s safety, as well as Dakota Community Center liability bylaws. We realize that some people may not have the ability to pre-register. In that case, please follow these new procedures:

  • Participants must pre-register for public skating
  • If a participant has not pre-registered, they must go the CSR desk located in the fieldhouse
  • CSR’s will register the participant and stamp their hand
  • Participant needs to go back to the public skating volunteer and show them their stamp
  • Participant is allowed to skate

*CSR’S will not allow any non-registered participants to register if maximum number of public skating participants has been met (50 participants).
*Once a public skate is sold out (50 participants) there will be no waitlist, or walk in’s, allowed on the ice during that hour.
*Participants who are consistently registering, but not showing up, will be flagged. This behaviour could result in their public skating registration privileges being revoked.
