High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a dynamic workout method that alternates short bursts of more intense exercise with brief, lower intensity, recovery periods. Participants can work at their own pace and will maximize calorie burn, improve cardiovascular fitness and boost metabolism.Line Dance Level 1NEW to our group fitness schedule! This class introduces basic steps in short sequences of easy patterns and rhythms in the simplest way possible. There will be lots of repetition. Are there group fitness classes that are better for seniors?Our senior-focused group fitness classes are specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of older adults, offering a safe and supportive environment to stay active and healthy. Chair Yoga, Gentle Fit, Growing Stronger and Zumba Gold classes promote functional fitness, mobility and social interaction that can help increase a senior’s confidence to age at home. How are group fitness classes and sessional fitness classes different?Sessional programs span several weeks and a participant pays for all these classes upfront. Sessional classes allow for progressive skill development over time. Group fitness classes attend at their convenience without a long term commitment. Payment is on a per-class basis. Are there group fitness classes for people who live with a disability or have mobility issues?All of the fitness instructors at Dakota are certified with the Manitoba Fitness Council and do have the experience to help modify classes, however Chair Yoga and Gentle Fit are done from a seated position.
