Event Coordinator

Dakota Community Centre (DCC), located in south St. Vital in Winnipeg, is looking for an enthusiastic, event coordinator who thrives in client-first service to DCC external (client run) events and functions. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing and coordinating various types of client events in our new event centre spaces and sportsplex facilities.

Job Title: Event Coordinator
Hours: Up to 30 hours/week, evenings and weekends (schedule may vary).

Adult Program and Senior Resource Coordinator

Dakota Community Centre is looking for an enthusiastic coordinator who thrives on client-first service and working with the age demographic of 18-55+. This multi-faceted role requires someone who understands the actions and tasks that are involved with managing a successful program, including promotion, client experience, event management, budgeting and handling multiple priorities related to working with this diverse age group.

Arena Ice Technician

With two busy arenas in the Jonathan Toews Sportsplex, we are looking for enthusiastic and qualified people who can work with us as licenced Arena & Ice Technicians.

Job Title: Arena & Ice Technician
Hours: Full and Part Time

Qualifications: 
  • Valid Power Engineer’s Certificate Refrigeration Class (W) is required or the equivalent Power Engineer Level 4 or better
  • Valid driver’s license – Class 5 is required
  • First Aid/CPR/AED and WHIMS 2017 training would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in arena ice management and/or facility management will be considered an asset

Preference will be given to individuals who posses some general mechanical knowledge and skill/aptitude in facility maintenance, as a general willingness to learn and commitment to study.
