Walking Group (Thursdays) |
Walking is a popular, accessible and low impact activity that promotes a wide range of health benefits. Join our new DCC Walking Group guided by an Active Aging Manitoba trained leader. Stay active while meeting new friends! All ability levels are welcome. Dates: Every Thursday Pre-registration is not required. LUNGtivity |
A low intensity exercise and learning program for individuals living with lung disease (C.O.P.D.). Goals are to reduce feelings of breathlessness during daily activities, remain independent as long as possible, and feel supported with lung disease self-management. Future Dates TBD |

Tai Chi (Thursdays) |
Level 1 Tai Chi Explore and deepen your health and wellness through the gentle and restorative practices of qigong and taijiquan from the Yang family lineage of tai chi. Each class will include a full-body warm-up to loosen the joint systems and relax, stretch, and strengthen the muscles and tendons to facilitate the flow of vital qi through the body. Emphasis will be placed on alignment to develop strong balance and posture. Future Dates TBD
Level 2 Tai Chi Level 2 Tai Chi is a class for intermediate students who have completed Level 1 Tai Chi or have some prior experience in Tai Chi. You will also practice the 6 forms that you learned in Level 1 Tai Chi and review the basic principles and techniques. The main goal of Level 2 Tai Chi is to feel the movement of internal energy or qi in your body and to make it flow smoothly and harmoniously with each movement. You will also improve your strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Level 2 Tai Chi is suitable for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding and practice of Tai Chi and to experience its health and wellness benefits Future Dates TBD |
Painting (Mondays Thursdays) |
Acrylic Painting Beginner For learners just starting or people wanting more experience with acrylics. Upon completion you will have fundamental skills needed to create your own works of art. Future Dates TBD
Acrylic Painting Intermediate/Novice Explore new styles and techniques of painting. Impressionism, Cubism, Pop Art and Expressionism. For anyone that has taken a painting class. Learners and people wanting more experience with acrylics are welcome. Future Dates TBD |

DROP-IN PROGRAMS
Our drop-in programming will offer relaxing card games or line dancing classes. Whether you want to relax or get a little active, there's something for everyone, plus you'll get to meet some great people!
Line Dancing - Absolute Beginner (Wednesdays) |
Absolute Beginner (Wednesdays) This class introduces basic steps in short sequences of easy patterns and rhythms in the simplest way possible. There will be lots of repetition. If you have never line danced before or just started last year, this class is for you. Basic skills, easy choreography, easy dances. FUN for all. Participants dance to any music with a good beat. Future Dates TBD Beginner Plus (Tuesdays) Some previous experience necessary. Dancers are expected to know the basic steps. Dances and choreography are a little more difficult, and music may be faster with more connecting steps. Dances may increase in length, complexity and tempo. Future Dates TBD Improver / Intermediate (Wednesdays) This course is designed for experienced line dancers with a solid knowledge of steps and terminology. Choreography will be more complex introducing some interesting step combinations, syncopations, timing variations and styling. Expect multiple turns, tags & restarts. This class will appeal to those ready to challenge their line dance skills and who want to learn the newest dances as well as re-visit some of the classics still being danced. Future Dates TBD |
