GROUP FITNESS PROGRAMS
Staying fit doesn't have to be difficult. We're offering plenty of fun and engaging fitness programs year round.
CHAIR YOGA
Ease pain and tension in your body brought on overtime by everyday stress and use. This class will focus on breathing, balance, flexibility, expanding range of motion and increasing strength through various gentle and fun excercises.
Please note: It is recommended that participants bring their own yoga strap and a set of yoga blocks to each class in order to maximize their ability to fully participate in the class.

GROWING STRONGER
Growing stronger is a strength and balance class that will help you regain muscle and keep it strong. This program is ideal for those wishing to improve their strength, cardio, and balance. Strong muscles, bones and better balance will help make you more mobile and less likely to fall.

LET'S MOVE! LET'S DANCE!
A fusion of Latin and international music and rhythms such as the Cha Cha Cha, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Disco etc... will get you moving to a great beat. This is a great way to burn calories and improve coordination and balance.
Please note: Please bring dance or indoor shoes or runners with smooth soles.

P.A.C.E. (People with Arthritis Can Excercise)
A program developed by the Arthritis Society for people with different types of Arthritis or related conditions, such as Fibromyalgia or restricted mobility. Gentle movements to improve balance and strength; flexibility to help you move easier during daily activities.
Please note: Please bring a 6-7 foot stretchy band and soft squeezable little balls.

SIMPLE PILATES
A great program to help strengthen your core, improve body awareness and prevent back injuries.
Please note: Please bring your own mat, a block or beach towel and a stretchy ban 6-7 feet long. Bare feet or socks during class.

WALKING GROUP
Walking is a popular, accessible and low risk physical exercise. Join our new DCC Walking Group guided by an Active Aging Manitoba trained leader. Help promote your physical activity and improve your health while meeting new friends! All levels are welcome. Walker and wheelchair accessible paths unless otherwise noted. Please wear weather appropriate clothing, comfortable walking shoes and water bottle. Decision will be made by 9:00AM day of walk if we are unable to walk outside.

ZUMBA GOLD
This class introduces easy to follow Zumba moves at a lower intensity that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat and prepared to leave empowered and feeling strong!

DROP-IN WELLNESS PROGRAMS
Our drop-in programming will offer relaxing card games or line dancing classes. Whether you want to relax or get a little active, there's something for everyone, plus you'll get to meet some great people!
LINE DANCING
Join in for a morning of fun and dance! You'll know some sweet moves after you leave each class.
Please note: Please reserve your spot 2 weeks in advance using the registration link as space is limited.
High Beginner - Improver Line Dancing (Wednesday Class) |
Some previous experience necessary. Dancers are expected to know the basic steps. Dances and choreography are a little more difficult, and music may be faster with more connecting steps. Dances may increase in length, complexity and tempo. Dates: June 15 – August 31, 2022
